Christmas in July

No, I didn't fall off the ends of the earth.

It's just that life has been so busy this past year so I've not had the time to post on my second (i.e., Christmas) blog.

But I wanted do a "show and tell" about my sewing here since it relates to Christmas.

I've bought a new sewing/embroidering machine over a year ago (Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000) and I've been taking several classes the last year at my sewing store to learn all about this amazing new sewing/embroidery machine.

Lately I'm having a blast at our sewing store's "Christmas in July" classes!

First we appliquéd Christmas Trees on to a white background to create a rustic pillow cover.

I embellished the pillow cover with ribbons, red piping and an embroidered "Merry Christmas".

Sew cute!

I glued on a small red pom pom for Santa's nose and added a ribbon.

In the next session we got to use different speciality feet to sew up this cute Santa Claus stocking.

The Christmas Tree Hugger Pillow Cover!

It was my first time ever sewing on sequins, piping and also heat setting tiny jewel beads with a tiny heat gun.

Two Christmas projects finished!

Do you have any "Christmas in July" projects?

Hopefully my next posting will be quicker than the last one.

LOL!
