Several years ago I placed my vintage bulbs on my fireplace mantel very similar to this arrangement.

However, I stopped putting them on the mantel when I accidentally dropped and broke one.

Now I just hang them on the Christmas trees.

Oh how I wish I could put out my collection of vintage Christmas bulbs. My Mom left me so many, but between my cats, the dog, and my children, I dare not put the on open display or on the tree. The best I have been able to do is put them in a huge glass vase, as long as I can cover up the top. Lovely post!

I really like how you display your vintage ornaments! I remember as a child we had these kinds of ornaments on the tree...oh how I loved them!! I don't know what ever happened to them...maybe they were broken through the years, but I sure wish I still had them today! Have a nice Sunday!
Your display on candlestick is great in that it lets each special ornament stand on its own.
I have been collecting vintage ornaments mostly from local thrift shops and a few from Ebay. I devote one not quite 3-foot tall tree to these ornaments. They really bring back sweet memories of childhood trees at home.
