Crocheted Snowman Gift Card Cosy

Sorry it's been so long since I posted on my Christmas Blog, Sandy Snowflake!

We've been busy with house projects all this summer mostly spending our time indoors with all the hot weather.

Pretty soon I'll be complaining of the cold!

I found this delightful crocheted snowman on Pinterest today and had to blog about it.

It's a free pattern you can find (here).

I can hardly wait to make one!

If you don't crochet try making one of out felt or even paper.

A Merry White Christmas Tree Snowman!

Source: bhg.com via Teacup Lane on Pinterest

Well, now this is clever...a beautiful...

 White Christmas Tree Snowman!

I love the black Christmas bulbs as the Snowman's buttons.

Now the question is... do I have storage for another Christmas tree?

In white?

I wish!

Maybe I could find room for a smaller one than this one...

It could be as a Christmas Tree Snow Kid?

Just don't tell my Hubby I'm seriously considering this because I know I have way too much Christmas decorations already.

Link for Frosty The Snowman Christmas Tree (here).

Instructions:
Frosty the Snowman Christmas Tree
Celebrate the season anew with a Frosty the Snowman-inspired Christmas tree. Craft or buy a papier-mache snowman head and place atop a white artificial Christmas tree. Space three blackornament balls down the center to create buttons, secure silver branches to the middle for arms, and position rain boots under the base to create feet.
Finish by wrapping a red scarf underneath Frosty's head and embellishing all over with transparent ornament balls and silver snowflake ornaments. Don't forget the black top hat tree topper!
Editor's Lighting Tip: To prevent themed or white Christmas trees from looking busy, keeplighting simple. Use a few subtle strands of Christmas lights or none at all.

I Love Snowmen!

This Snowmen center piece makes me S.M.I.L.E!

This would be cute to make if you have baby bottles on hand.

I guess any size glass jar would work now that I think about it!

And here is the most famous snowman of all time....Frosty!

Enjoy the music!

Snowmen Candy Wrappers

These Snowmen Candy Wrappers are cute stocking stuffers!

I like to bring a small gift to our Christmas BUNCO for the gals.

These would be perfect.

It would be fun embellishing the wrappers with pretty ribbons, buttons, bells and fabric.

Wreath Snowman

I'm tempted to try making this adorable

Wreath Snowman

this Christmas.

I think it is so cute.

Our home is set back from the road quite a bit so something this large will be seen better.

I have a heavy paper door liner in red that I save from year to year and the green wreath snowman should really POP off that background.   You could also make the snowman out of white or red wreaths.  I can crochet a colorful scarf for it too.

Karen from "Sew Many Ways" blog is the creator of this fantastic idea and she has a tutorial (here) on how to make her snowman.  She uses green plastic tie tags to tie together the wreaths.  Ever since my Hubby showed me tie tags several years ago I use them all the time.

Thanks Karen for sharing your fantastic decoration!

I love Snowmen!

Welcome to My Christmas Blog

A Jolly Snowman!

This is a cute Snowman box given to me one Christmas by my SIL.

It's the cutest box and I displayed it every Christmas.

I'm still tweaking this blog so hang in there with me.  I have to figure out how I centered my header AGAIN (ugh!) !!  That may take awhile to do.
