This is beautiful!

A "must" to listen to.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

We're busy visiting our brothers and their families.

Today we're all getting together at my Hubby's one twin brother's home for Christmas Day.

We're excited to see everyone and enjoy my sister-in-law's delicious turkey dinner.

We get to meet our grand niece, Hailey, for the first time and see how much our grand nephew, Lucas, has grown since we last saw him.

Lucas and Hailey
Kissing Cousins!

Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Here's hoping we have a snowy Christmas back in Oho.

Christmas Eve

Another cute vintage Christmas card to enjoy!

It's Christmas Eve!

We are celebrating Christmas Eve day with my oldest brother and his family.  This has been one of the longest times apart for us.  We haven't been back to visit them since last Christmas.

This is a photo of my big brother taken some time in the early 1940s.

He was a cute kid...blond and blue-eyed just like my Mom.

It was very common for children to have their picture taken on a pony back then.

My oldest brother was the only sibling that had his picture taken on a pony...money was tight in those days.  No money for extras like that by the time my middle brother and I were born.

Times have changed.

If I wanted my photo taken on a pony now... I could...but I don't want to!  LOL!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas Eve!

Vintage Christmas Card

Isn't this a cute vintage Santa Christmas card?

We're busy packing for our road trip tomorrow.  We're going to Ohio to spend Christmas with our brothers and their families.

It will be a long day tomorrow.

Nine hours on the road and approx. 450 miles.

Hubby is the designated driver so I get to sleep, read, talk and crochet.

Everything is done in preparation for Christmas.

Finally we get to enjoy it!

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas!

Here's an updated photo of our fireplace mantel.

I keep finding Christmas decorations to put out.

I still have some wreaths to hang around the house.

Click (here) to see our Christmas Trees and Snowman Front Door Decor that I posted about on my regular blog, Teacup Lane.

The stuffed Snowmen on our fireplace mantel and this cute Santa were bought at our local Christmas craft fair this year.

The vintage train lantern next to Santa belonged to my Hubby's maternal Grandfather who was a conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Here's a close up of one of the Snowmen.

You can see the cute candy cane lights I put up on the mantel here.

And this is the other Snowman.

That's a vintage red velvet deer standing on the mantel that was passed down from my parents.

These are cute signs I've collected over the years...

I love 3M Command Strips...I hung this on our kitchen cabinet door with the strips.

And lastly a look at our foyer decorated for Christmas...

The Santa door decor is held up by magnets.

The Christmas Angel doll hanging on the wall was purchased quite a few years ago.

That's all for now.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed my Christmas tour.

What to Bring for Our Christmas BUNCO Party?

Almost done with our Christmas shopping.

What a busy week.

Today I'm putting away the empty Christmas decoration boxes and cleaning up the house.  Hope to get some pictures taken soon.

I found some excellent recipes on Pinterest for appetizers for our Christmas BUNCO party.

We don't play BUNCO (an easy dice game) at our Christmas party...it is a party!

We all bring something to eat so the hostess only has to provide drinks.

I'm thinking of making one of these recipes.

Wow...Hershey kisses in pie dough!

...Baked Shells with Sausage and Spinach!

This looks easy...8 Minute Mini Cinnamon Rolls...and delicious!

Which one would you choose?

Little Eye Candy Wreaths

Every year I crochet a "little something" for the gals in our BUNCO group for our Christmas party.

This year nothing was grabbing my attention and I didn't want to do what I have done in the past...like snowflakes and Christmas trees.  And then I saw this adorable photo of a crocheted little ribbon wreath on Pinterest.  I wasn't the least surprised that Sara from "Tangled Happy" shared this cute little wreath project with her readers.

I'm happily crocheting up a storm making these cute little wreaths in all different yarn colors embellished with pretty ribbons.  Such a simple  project that will look lovely hanging on everyone's Christmas tree.

Behold my yummy eye candy...

One little yellow wreath...

Little wreaths making a big wreath...

I'm running out of ribbons so I may have to make another trip to Michaels to restock.

Hop on over to Sara's blog "Tangled Happy"...she has a wonderful tutorial (here) showing how easy these tiny wreaths are to make.

Keep on crocheting...

Christmas White Trash

Every Christmas my sister-in-law, Jane, makes this candy snack recipe (or one very similar) for all of us.

And it's one of my favorites!

Except she doesn't call it "Christmas White Trash"...

...she calls it "Christmas Crap."

I don't care what she calls it...it is delicious (click on the photo above for the recipe)!

Do you have a favorite Christmas candy snack?

A Blue Christmas

Source:  Pinterest

I love blue cabinets!

Isn't this room just beautiful decorated with this lovely Christmas wreath?

I've been busy...my Christmas cards have been mailed and our outside lights are strung up.

But I haven't started my interior decorating yet.

I haven't slept well the last three nights and I just had no energy today to decorate at all.

So I decided to surf Pinterest for inspiration instead.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be more motivated.

My "Christmas Heritage" Plate Setting

I bought these adorable Christmas ornaments from The Christmas Haus (Oxford, PA) in several different designs and gave one to each of my three sister-in-laws one Christmas.

Of course, I loved them so much, I had to have a set of them too.

Wm Rogers Pattern "Spring Charm" 1950

This is one silverware pattern from the silverware set purchased by my Mom in the early 1940s and passed down to me.  Mom chose two different patterns for her set of 12 - this one is the rose pattern - not sure of the correct name.  I've started to research on the internet and found a Facebook page for Nobility Silverware.  If anyone knows the name of this design let me know.

Isn't it pretty?

Update:  Pattern shown appears to be "Spring Charm" 1950 by Wm Rogers.   My Mom's passed so I can't ask her when she purchased her set.  Maybe she purchased the two patterns together or possibly at different times.  Her silverware set of 12 with both patterns (six of each) is in a wooden case with a brochure entitled "Nobility Silverware Co., Inc. Newark, NY".   The Nobility pattern is Riverie (not shown here).

Another cute "Merry Christmas" ornament from The Christmas Haus.

My "Christmas Heritage" china by Pfaltzgraff was given to me through the years by my relatives.

I have a complete set for ten now.

It's so pretty offset by my crocheted red, white and green Jingle Bells throw!
