Vintage Christmas Candles

Wait until you see the vintage Christmas candles we inherited from my in-laws.

They are just beautiful.

One of a kind...

I don't remember my in-laws ever putting these out at Christmas.

But I love to set them out on display!

My Vintage Shiny Brite Ornaments

Hurray...our Christmas boxes were put into storage before the end of January!

The house seems empty now.

Not as colorful or festive.

I still have some of the original Shiny Brite boxes.

Is it just me or do you love these vintage bulbs as much as I do?

And there are more REDs to enjoy with our host, Sue, at

Vintage Christmas Table Cloth

Vintage Red & Green Poinsettia Tablecloth

I love this vintage Christmas Poinsettia Tablecloth passed down from my dear MIL.

It drapes this little round table nicely in the corner of our family room!

I'm fighting the urge to start putting Christmas decorations away.

It is just lovely here today in the high 50s F.

We took our travel van out for a ride and had lunch at Perkins.

Hope you are having a beautiful day too.

Christmas Eve

Another cute vintage Christmas card to enjoy!

It's Christmas Eve!

We are celebrating Christmas Eve day with my oldest brother and his family.  This has been one of the longest times apart for us.  We haven't been back to visit them since last Christmas.

This is a photo of my big brother taken some time in the early 1940s.

He was a cute kid...blond and blue-eyed just like my Mom.

It was very common for children to have their picture taken on a pony back then.

My oldest brother was the only sibling that had his picture taken on a pony...money was tight in those days.  No money for extras like that by the time my middle brother and I were born.

Times have changed.

If I wanted my photo taken on a pony now... I could...but I don't want to!  LOL!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas Eve!

Vintage Christmas Tree

We never had one of these silver aluminum Christmas trees.

My Dad always would get a real, live evergreen tree for our living room.

I loved the smell of a live tree.

I remember one of my Aunts had an aluminum silver tree with rotating lights in different colors shining on it.

This vintage one is pretty with the red ornaments.

Did you ever have one of these?

Vintage Christmas Truck

Every Christmas I have wanted to put a wreath on our car...but never seem to get around to it with everything else that has to be done.

Maybe one of these Christmases I can decorate at least one of our vehicles!

Do you decorate your vehicle?

Vintage Bulbs

Isn't this pretty!

Several years ago I placed my vintage bulbs on my fireplace mantel very similar to this arrangement.

My fireplace mantel 2006

However, I stopped putting them on the mantel when I accidentally dropped and broke one.

My Vintage Bulbs

Now I just hang them on the Christmas trees.

It's safer that way for me.

Vintage Bottle Brush Christmas Tree

Source: None via Teacup Lane on Pinterest

I wish I had some of these adorable vintage Bottle Brush Christmas trees!

Isn't the sheet music in red ink so appropriate and Christmasy?
